Identification showing name and a New Milford address IS REQUIRED to obtain a New Milford library card.
ACCEPTABLE PROOF OF NEW MILFORD RESIDENCY
One of the Following:
- Current Valid Driver’s License
- New Jersey Non-Driver’s State I.D.
- Bergen County Identification Card
- New Milford Property Deed
- Residential Rental Agreement
OR 2 of the Following Dated within 3 Months of Application:
- Utility Bill
- Water Bill
- Car Insurance Bill
- Home Owner’s Insurance Bill
- Cable Bill
NEW RESIDENTS WHO ALREADY HAVE A LIBRARY CARD FROM ANOTHER BCCLS LIBRARY
Acceptable Proof of New Milford residency.
The patron must be in good standing with no unpaid bills, outstanding fines or lost materials.
The patron’s record should not have any outstanding materials including materials which are not yet overdue.
CHILDREN/STUDENT CARDS
Children under the age of 18 years of age, must have a responsible parent or caregiver who meets the above proof of New Milford Residency sign for their card.
Students who attend school in New Milford, but do not live in a BCCLS town, or an Open Borrowing town, may be issued a Courtesy Card.
COURTESY CARDS FOR NON-RESIDENTS
Valid in New Milford Only:
Non-Residents who work or attend school in New Milford, but do not live in a BCCLS town, or an Open Borrowing town, may be issued a Courtesy Card.
Business Owner:
Business card and a piece of current mail with New Milford address.
Business Employee:
Letter from employer showing employee’s name and address plus employer’s New Milford address.
Students:
Valid New Milford school I.D. or proof of enrollment in a New Milford school.
Other forms of Identification maybe accepted only with the Director’s approval.
